It’s official! We are Etna DOC-registered, certified, and ready to make some incredible wine starting with our limited, first release in the fall of 2023. A world-class wine right out of the gate! Blindspot Vineyard’s Nerello Mascalese Etna Rosso is presently being aged in 3 expressions; “Steel”, “Oak” and “Amphora”. It will be available in limited quantities in 2023 — unless we drink it all first!

We had an incredible head start: 70-100+ year old, ungrafted, pre-phylloxera, Nerello Mascalese vines, 850-900 meters high on Mt. Etna in the Panella Petto Dragone Contrada, the Romeo family whose passion created this vineyard before us, our mentor, Ben ‘The Etna Wine Guy’ Spencer, and our many new friends from Mt. Etna who have shown us a thing or two.
