Positioned in the Panella Petto Dragone Contrada of the Mt. Etna DOC on a natural amphitheater created by an 1865 lava flow at the highest allowable elevation at 850-900 meters. The vineyard features direct Ionian Sea-facing, hand built lava stone-terracing with predominately, 100+ year old, ungrafted, prephylloxera, Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and other indigenous grape varietals.

Blindspot Vineyard’s Nerello Mascalese Etna Rosso DOC is a field-blended Nerello Mascalese (90%) with other indigenous Etna varietals (10%) & now our 100% Carricante Bianco are both incredibly limited production wines. Each grown under organic cultivation, minimal processing, and of course both hand-harvested & hand crafted made.
