A small, perfectly situated, singular vineyard located on the northeast face of the Mt. Etna Volcano.
Our sustainable vineyard is located at an elevation of 850-900 meters amsl on the northeast slope of Mount Etna, in Contrada Panella-Petto Dragone at the edge of the Etna DOC, in a natural volcanic theater created by the 1865 lava flow.
The vineyard features scores of dry-stone terraces olive facing the Ionian Sea and own-rooted/ungrafted 80-year-old vines of Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and other indigenous Sicilian grape varieties.
Our production rarely exceeds 2000 bottles per year. Blindspot Vineyard’s Etna Rosso is a field-blend of Nerello Mascalese (90%) with other indigenous Etna cultivars. Our Etna Bianco is composed of 100% Carricante.
Every hand-made wine honors the vineyard site, the vintage, and Mount Etna traditions.
